Coffee connects us in so many ways – to each other, to our senses, and to the earth that supports the coffee trees. – Rohan Marley
The delicious aroma inspires us to get out of bed in the morning, and the one extra cup of coffee keeps us working through the afternoon slump. We all like to crisp our life with a cup of coffee, whether you grab it while rushing to work, stopping at a drive-thru, or sitting for hours in a local cafe with an extra-large cup. Let take a sneak peek at the most unique and creative coffee in the world.
Kopi Luwak-“cat poop coffee“, is one of the most expensive coffees around the globe. The question that ticks your mind is what? ” Cat Poop Coffee” and the most expensive one. Well, this coffee has a unique and natural processing method for fermentation. The Cat poop coffee was introduced by the Dutch in the 18th century in Indonesia. The seeds for the coffee beans are found on the coffee plants that are like cherry-sized fruits. This coffee bean is digested by a small Indonesian cat called Asian Palm Civet. The civet tends to eat the finest and ripest cherries and this process allows the enzymes to eliminate the acidity and impair new flavors to the coffee. These beans are not digested in the stomach and later are collected in the poop by the farmers. Despite the fact that the beans obtained from the cat’s feces have higher levels of contamination, the refined coffee is safe to drink, with no E. coli or other contamination. According to some of the coffee experts, this natural method of fermentation results in a smoother taste and less acidic concentration than any other coffee fermentation processes. It is worth the shot, not only because of the unique process but also the flavors in it.
